The Story
The Fertility Channel is about all things fertility and reproduction. It is managed by A/Prof Anusch Yazdani, the Director of Research and Education for the Queensland Fertility Group (QFG) and a founding Director of Eve Health Australia.
MEET THE TEAM
ANUSCH YAZDANI
Director
Anusch is a graduate of the University of Queensland (MBBS Hons) and a subspecialist in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (FRANZCOG, CREI). He is the Immediate Past President of the Australasian Gynecological Endoscopy and Surgery Society (AGES Society), Federal Counsellor to the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG) and Director of Clinical Research and Development of the QFG Research Foundation. He is an Associate Editor of the Australian and New Zealand Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ANZJOG) and Associate Professor to the University of Queensland. Anusch is a Founding Director of Eve Health Australia. Anusch is the Program Director for the Queensland Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and Advanced Endoscopic Surgery Training specialist training programmes. He is widely published and lectures nationally and internationally. Anusch has a special interest in endometriosis, minimally invasive and microsurgery, infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, assisted reproduction (including IVF) and reproductive endocrinology.
SAM COSTA
Specialist Clinical Nurse
Samantha completed her Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Midwifery at the Queensland University of Technology. She has trained and worked in Brisbane’s largest hospitals both publicly and privately as a Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife. Broadening her horizons, Samantha left Brisbane to work in the rural/remote network in Far North Queensland predominantly in Indigenous communities, where she completed her studies to become a Medicare Eligible Midwife.
Since her return to Brisbane, Samantha has developed her interest as a Specialist Clinical Nurse as a Nurse Co-ordinator with the Queensland Fertility Group. Now working with A/Prof Anusch Yazdani at Eve Health, Samantha provides support and day to day advice throughout patients’ treatment journey.
CATHERINE MACDONALD
Practice Manager
Catherine is the bright and bubbly practice manager at Eve Health. Prior to becoming Practice Manager, she was the personal secretary to A/Prof Anusch Yazdani.
Catherine has been in the medical industry for over 10 years and has worked in the wide variety of specialties in addition to women’s health, including ophthalmology and radiology. She has completed her Diploma of Practice Management, as well as numerous workshops and certificates to further her professional development.
In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, keeping active and spending time with her puppy, Ollie.
